Today I am going to review Himalaya herbals extra moisturizing protein shampoo normal to dry hair. Himalaya herbals are a trusted brand because of climes of manufacturing their products with principles of ayurveda.

Some time back Himalaya herbals had launched their hair care products which clearly states that NEWLY IMPROVED on the top corner of the bottle. The label attracted me as it was written on it that it’s free from parabens, silicones, SLES and so I picked up the bottle. This time I was expecting some good results. But it disappointed me.

What the product claims:

Enriched with extracts of protein- rich herbs, our new shampoo range nourishes your hair, giving you the three essentials benefits that your hair needs- strength, reduced hair fall and protection from every day damage.

Price:

INR 115 for 200ml.

Packaging:

It comes in a white coloured bottle with a green coloured flip-cap.

MY experience:

As I have very dry hair so was excited to use this shampoo and the other reason was that it was a herbal shampoo. Whenever I try a new shampoo never oil my hair to test how it works. In subsequent washes I oil my hair and also use a conditioner.

You will need a blob amount of shampoo if u haven’t oiled your hair. Extra amount of shampoo is need if you have applied oil or any hair pack. The shampoo doesn't remove oil and clean hair well. It doesn't moisturize the hair. Instated it made my dry hair more dry and frizzy.

Pros:

·         Free from all harsh chemicals

·         Smells nice

Cons:

·         Doesn’t do anything to what it claims

·         Makes hair more dry

·         Doesn’t reduce hair fall

·         More product is required

Recommendation:

People with problem free hair may give it a try.

What the product claims:

A skin rejuvenating recipe that contains precious botanical extracts nutritious blend of fruit extracts which shall help to improve skin texture, rejuvenate skin and help to give a clear, radiant and fresh look.

Price:

INR 155 for 120 gm.

Ingredients:

Apple extract, peach extract, apricot extract, vitamin E.

To use:

Apply all over face and neck. Leave on for 20 minutes. Wash thoroughly with plain water. Use twice a week.

 Texture:

It’s a thick paste 

Packaging:

It comes in a tube with a white coloured flip-cap opening.

My experience:

As the face pack is quite thick I prefer to mix it with little rose water. So that it becomes easier to spread on my face. It gives a glow after using but fades after a couple of hours….giving u a clear skin with a fresh look. Whenever am in hurry and have no time for my facials I use this to get a fresh face. Now coming to its pros and con…..

Pros:

·        Gives a nice glow

·        Spreads easily

·        Travel friendly packaging

Cons:

·        May make dry skin more dry

Recommendation:

Oily and normal skinned people may give it a try. It would be a great product for u.

Here comes another review. As we all know that the very basic part of skin care routine is to CLEAN our skin every day and we all do that. Anyways now let’s come to the product.

What the product claims : 

Clean & Clear foaming facial wash is a product from Johnson& Johnson. It is gentle enough to be used every day for a clean and clear skin that glows. It is specially designed to clean skin thoroughly to help prevent common skin problems. Its reach foam thoroughly cleanses to remove excess oil and dirt without over drying while special ingredients help prevent pimples. It leaves your skin feeling clean and beautifully clear.

Price : INR 42 for 50 ml

To use: Apply a small amount on wet palm and work into rich lather. Gently massage onto face, avoiding eye area.

Packaging: It comes in a transparent bottle which makes it easy to know how much quantity is left. It comes with a flip-cap opening

Texture: It’s a colorless translucent thick liquid.

My experience:

I like face washes…. So I keep on switching to some or the other face wash. And this is one of my favorite. I have used this product a year before and again using it now. Particularly this bottle am using since two weeks so thought to review it.

It nicely cleans up dirt and grime leaving no trace of oil, giving a clean skin. Very little quantity is required which produces a thick lather which in turn works on skin very effectively. After using the face wash it leaves my skin bit dry but a moisturizer can fix it well.

Pros:

· Best for oily skin

· Helps to control pimples to quite an extent. Can’t say about black heads and white heads as I don’t suffer from it.

· Easily available

· Travel friendly

Cons:

· Makes my skin a bit dry after using it.It’s a must have product for oily skinned people. For normal or dry skinned people it better to stay away from it as it makes skin dry.

Have anyone used this. Do let me know your experience. My rating: 4/5 (-1 mark just because it makes my skin bit dry)

I wanted to blog about beauty products since a long time but couldn’t make it possible due to something or the other reason. But this time am with my blog and here’s my very first review on the product.

Firstly talking about a sunscreen/sunblock we all know how important it is in a daily skin care routine. So I thought to review a sunscreen before any other product. Now let’s come to the product.

WHAT THE PRODUCT CLAIMS:-

The product claims to act as

·        Sunblock (primary function)

·        Moisturiser

·        Water proof

·        Matt

·        Non-greasy

·        Skin whitening

·        Anti ageing

·        Anti Tan

Price :- 199 INR for 80 g

Product  Description :

To  use: Apply on face, neck and arms 20 minutes before sun exposure. Leave on.

Packaging : It comes in a well sealed cardboad cartoon. The sunscreen comes in a yellow coloured tube with a flip-cap making it travel friendly.

Texture : The texture of the product is not running and nor a cream. It’s a soft creamy product which makes it comfotable to spread well and apply easily. It have a very mild pink hint which makes it almost white in colour.

MY EXPERIENCE :-

I am one among those who don’t like to use sunscreen as it sweats…. So am always on a hunt of a good sunscreen. So this time I got this one. I use it for my face as well as for my neck and arms. Very little quantity is required. It takes a couple of minutes to absorb.  This sun block worked really well on my skin. It also moisturises well so one can skip the moisturising part. I generally do that. It has a strong fragrance which may bother to some. The fragrance lingers around for quite some time after application.  

PROS

- Moisturises well and has anti tanning effect

- Good packaging and hence travel friendly

- Decently priced

- Water proof

CONS

- Feels a bit greasy

- Strong and bothering fragrance

- May sweat

- Some time the cream oozes out if the cap is not opened carefully

Recomendation: Good product for people having  combination, normal or dry skin.
